Bozho  (Hello)

Kikokwe Ndezhnekas (I am called Skywoman).   Shawnee Ndoch Bya (I come from Shawnee) and Jigwe Ndodem (I belong to the thunder clan).

My name is Shelly K. Watson; I am an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and have blood lineage from both the Seminole and Muscogee “Creek” Nation’s of Oklahoma.  I possess a Master’s of Education and Bachelor of Arts (both in counseling) from East Central University,  an Associate of Applied Science in Office Management and Associate of Arts in General Education from Seminole State College.  I am married to Ted Watson, Jr. of Shawnee and I have two beautiful children.  My son Bill is a sophomore in College and my daughter Shelby is a freshman in high school.

My tenure with Seminole State College began on January 6, 2004 as Grant Secretary for the Integrate Educational and Nursing Workforce Diversity Project (IEWD) for the SSC Nursing Division.  In August 2006, I was hired as the International Student Advisor for both the Student Affairs and Nursing Divisions.  On October 1, 2008 I began working with the NASNTI Program as Grant Director.

The various positions I’ve held at Seminole State College have afforded me the opportunity to work with wonderful caring people who are committed to educating students.   I am excited about the opportunities this grant will provide for the entire campus community and I look forward to working with the rest of the NASNTI team.

My Best,

Pama Pi (Later)
